Job Description

Role Summary

  • The Project Manager will serve as a key facilitator and support function within the LSC Secretariat, enabling the smooth functioning of the Collaborative
  • The role involves ensuring vibrant collaboration, facilitating information sharing among all members, and supporting the three-tier governance structure of Shared Leadership, Co-Conveners, and the Plenary
  • The Project Manager will work closely with the National Head to ensure that partner organizations can effectively implement their programs while staying aligned with the collective vision of LSC 2

Key Responsibilities

Facilitation & Partner Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner organizations, offering logistical, operational, and programmatic support to enable effective implementation of their activities.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins, meetings, and workshops to ensure alignment, address challenges, and foster a collaborative spirit among members.
  • Coordination & Information Management
  • Ensure seamless information flows between all members of the Collaborative, including the Leadership Council, Co-Conveners, and Plenary.
  • Maintain and update shared repositories of resources, reports, tools, and best practices for easy access by all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and disseminate meeting minutes, action points, and progress updates in a timely manner.

Knowledge Synthesis & Content Preparation

  • Collate, synthesize, and organize information, data, and insights generated through the Narrative Track and Evidence Track to support the Collaboratives strategic objectives.
  • Prepare polished, audience-appropriate content for multiple platforms including:
  • Social media posts, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • White papers, policy briefs, and research summaries.
  • Presentations for donors, stakeholders, and governance bodies.
  • Website content, blogs, and knowledge feeds.

Governance & Secretariat Functions

  • Support the three-tier governance mechanism (Shared Leadership, Co-Conveners, Plenary) by organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on decisions.
  • Assist in tracking deliverables, timelines, and commitments made by partners and governance bodies.

Collaborative Vibrancy & Engagement

  • Help cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and productive collaborative culture through proactive communication, recognition of contributions, and conflict resolution where needed.
  • Plan and coordinate collaborative events, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cross-learning opportunities.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Compile inputs from partners and governance tiers into consolidated reports for internal and donor review.
  • Support the National Head in preparing presentations, updates, and communication materials for stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelors or masters degree in social work, Education, Development Studies, Communications, Management, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in program coordination, partnership management, or secretariat roles within multi-stakeholder initiatives, preferably in education or development sectors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of life skills frameworks and their role in education and youth development. Familiarity with the LSCs Life Skills Glossary or similar frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Direct exposure to or experience supporting school-based or community-based education programs, particularly those focused on adolescent development, 21st-century skills, or social-emotional learning.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in information management, reporting, and governance support.

Content Development Experience:

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information and prepare accessible, compelling content for diverse formatsincluding social media, white papers, presentations, and web platforms.
  • Willingness to travel periodically (approximately 20-30% of time) to partner locations, governance meetings, and field sites as required.

Desired

  • Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus.
  • Experience using digital collaboration tools and content management systems.
  • Adaptive, patient, and diplomatic in managing group dynamics.
  • Service-oriented and partner-focused mindset.
