Job Description
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create automated test scripts that enhance our testing processes and coverage.Key Responsibilities :
- Execute manual test cases and analyze results to ensure the functionality, reliability, performance, and compatibility of our software products.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design automated test scripts accordingly.
- Work closely with the development team to understand code changes and their impact on existing tests.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Investigate test failures and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve the test automation framework and automated test coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Participate in the review of testing processes and suggest improvements.
- Document and report on test results, and provide metrics on test coverage and defect rates.
- Hands-on experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases for API and UI/UX testing.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
