Job Description
Designation: Senior Manager - Quality
Reporting: Associate Director
Location: Ahmedabad
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 12 years' experience in medical coding, ideally with a strong background in quality assurance and team leadership.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of medical coding principles, coding guidelines (ICD-10, CPT), regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or similar.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address coding discrepancies and errors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using coding software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and other relevant tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare) preferred, with equivalent experience considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee and coordinate coding review workload and reporting activities.
- Ensure quality and productivity standards are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate with audit teams to support strategic decision-making and process improvements.
- Establish and oversee KPIs for Risk Adjustment Coding Review functions.
- Drive coding quality, productivity, and accuracy through performance measures and monitoring.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a geographically dispersed team of 30-45 employees (direct and indirect reports).
- Provide training and development opportunities for coding staff.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Strategic Planning:
- Identify improvement opportunities and provider performance trends.
- Direct the implementation of new technologies and manage vendors.
- Deliver routine executive and board-facing reporting on the performance of risk adjustment programs.
- Develop and modify incentive programs in collaboration with finance and marketing teams.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Analyse implications of key changes to the regulatory and policy environment.
- Ensure compliance with risk adjustment and coding standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for risk adjustment programs.
