About Team:

The enterprise storage team builds and operates scalable, secure and high performance storage platform that power Walmart s critical business systems. The team is responsible for SAN, NAS and container storage driving initiatives across provisioning, data protection, disaster recovery, capacity planning and performance optimization while ensuring compliance and security at scale with a strong emphasis on automation and observability. The team embraces innovation and continuous learning to adopt next-gen storage technologies. As a part of this team you will work alongside the world-class engineers across compute, networking, security and cloud tem to design end-to-end solutions, influence platform architecture, and contribute to the evolution of enterprise storage ecosystem

What Youll Do

Enterprise Storage

• Leverage your experience to manage and support block, file, object and container storage platforms at enterprise scale.

• Perform provisioning performance tuning capacity planning and health monitoring.

• Troubleshoot complex storage replication and performance issues in production.

• Lead storage lifecycle activities including upgrades migration and tech refresh initiatives.

• Provide architecture guidance for application onboarding and modernization.

• Optimize storage efficiency using deduplication, compression tiering and policy automation.

Automation (Monitoring/Alerting)

• Create dashboards and alerts for proactive capacity, performance and fault detection for enterprise storage and partworks with monitoring platform (Prometheus, Grafana etc.)

• Maintain code repositories documentation runbook and operational standards.

• Automate provisioning, snapshotting, replication and cleanup of storage resources leveraging rest API and SDKs for enterprise and Kubernetes storage platform.

What Youll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, Pure, Cohesity Vast or similar)

• Solid understanding of SAN (FC/iSCSI), NAS(NFS/SMB) and object storage.

• Experience with snapshots, replication, backup and DR architectures.

• Experience supporting large scale multi petabyte environments.

• Hands on experience deploying and operating port works in Kubernetes environment.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes storage concepts (CSI, PV/PVC, Storage Classes)

• Expert in Python programming with knowledge REST APIs, SDKs with experience in CI/CD tools

• Experience building self-service storage platforms for application and DevOps teams

• Experience implementing infrastructure as a code (Iac) using Terraform, Ansible and Helm including version-controlled deployments.
