Role & responsibilities

Role & responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure a wide range of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security components.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using ARM templates, PowerShell, Biceps and Python scripts.
- Possess expert-level automation skills to develop and maintain scripts and templates for resource provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows.
- Monitor Azure resources proactively, set up alerts, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services seamlessly with on-premises and multi-cloud applications.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of Azure-based solutions that align with and advance the organizations strategic objectives.
- Design and implement monitoring strategies using core Azure Monitor components, including Log Analytics Workspaces, Application Insights, and Alerts.
- Configure metric- and log-based alerts for proactive health and performance tracking.
- Integrate alerting mechanisms with Azure Action Groups, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Teams for timely notifications and incident response.
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive Azure Backup solutions for Azure VMs, on-premises servers (via MARS agent), SQL Server, SAP HANA, and file shares.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts and runbooks using Azure Automation Accounts, PowerShell, or Python.
Preferred candidate profile
- A minimum of 3 years of Azure administration experience is required.
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying and managing Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, and security.
- Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager, PowerShell, and infrastructure as code practices.
- Experience integrating Azure services with on-premises and cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and the ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Azure DevOps Engineer certification is required.
