This role will focus on identifying, analyzing, and implementing strategies to manage and reduce healthcare costs for both insurance providers and policyholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of potential cost reduction.
- Implement strategies for reducing claims costs while ensuring that the coverage provided meets the needs of insured members.
- Conduct audits of medical claims to ensure compliance with insurance policies and identify overcharges or fraud.
- Develop and recommend cost-saving initiatives, including case management, preferred provider networks, and utilization review processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cost containment initiatives, providing reports to management on outcomes and savings achieved.
- Implement preventive measures to reduce unnecessary medical treatments and duplicate tests.
- Educate and support internal teams on cost containment strategies and the importance of managing medical expenses.
