Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Head of Project Management for our Logistics Automation business, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex logistics and automation projects across multiple geographies and industries. You will oversee a team of project managers and engineers, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Translate business strategy into actionable project plans and roadmaps.
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Manage large-scale logistics automation projects including warehouse automation, robotics, and digital supply chain solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
Team Management
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project managers and technical experts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and succession planning.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support business development with technical inputs for RFQs, tenders, and proposals.
Operational Excellence
- Implement KPIs and dashboards to monitor project performance.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Leverage technology (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) to optimize project workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, (Masters/MBA preferred).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- 20+ years of experience in project management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role in logistics, automation, or supply chain.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Deep understanding of logistics automation technologies (e.g., AGVs, AS/RS, Storage Automation Solutions).
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with global logistics regulations and compliance standards.
