Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure/AWS Cloud Administrator responsible for managing, monitoring, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in networking, compute (VMs), storage, serverless services, VPNs, WAF, and a foundational understanding of cloud-based AI/ML services.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Administration
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources in Azure and AWS
- Administer Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, AMIs, EC2, EBS, Azure VM Disks
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using native tools
Networking & Security
- Design and manage:
- Azure VNet, Subnets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway
- AWS VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, ALB/NLB
- Configure and maintain:
- SitetoSite VPN, PointtoSite VPN
- Azure VPN Gateway / AWS VPN / Transit Gateway
- Implement Web Application Firewall (WAF):
- Azure WAF (App Gateway / Front Door)
- AWS WAF (ALB, CloudFront)
- Enforce security best practices (least privilege, private endpoints, network segmentation)
Storage Services
- Manage:
- Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, File, Queue, Table)
- AWS S3, EFS, FSx
- Configure backup, lifecycle policies, replication, and cost optimization
- Implement encryption at rest and in transit
Serverless & Platform Services
- Deploy and support serverless workloads:
- Azure Functions
- AWS Lambda
- Integrate serverless services with storage, messaging, and APIs
- Support eventdriven architectures
Identity, Access & Governance
- Administer:
- Azure RBAC, Managed Identities
- AWS IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries
- Implement governance controls:
- Azure Policy, Management Groups
- AWS Organizations, SCPs
AI & Advanced Cloud Services (Knowledge / Exposure)
- Working knowledge of:
- Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure AI Studio)
- AWS AI services (Bedrock, SageMaker highlevel understanding)
- Support AI/ML workloads from infrastructure standpoint
- Understand AI security, cost, and network isolation requirements
Operations & Automation
- Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Automate using:
- ARM / Bicep / Terraform (preferred)
- Cloud-native automation (Azure Automation, AWS Systems Manager)
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
Monitoring, Compliance & Cost
- Configure monitoring/logging:
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
- AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Support audits, compliance, and operational documentation
- Assist with cost management and optimization
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Azure and/or AWS administration
Deep understanding of:
- Cloud Networking
- Virtual Machines & Compute
- Storage services
- VPN & connectivity
- WAF & cloud security controls
Experience with serverless services
Basic to intermediate knowledge of AI/ML cloud services
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in production environments
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in 24x7 or on-call support models
Must Have
- Azure or AWS Certifications:
- Azure Administrator (AZ104)
- AWS SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Terraform / IaC experience
- Exposure to:
- Kubernetes (AKS / EKS)
- DevOps pipelines
- Understanding of hybrid cloud or onprem to cloud connectivity
