Solution Architect
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 15+ years overall; strong experience as a Solution Architect
Team Size Context: Part of a large global architecture team of 200+, including 40+ members in India
Role Overview
The Solution Architect defines and leads the endtoend technical architecture required to deliver the investment and transformation roadmap for the High Net Worth (HNW) domain. This role shapes the current and target state architectures, drives architectural governance, supports agile delivery teams, and partners with senior business and technology leaders to deliver strategic outcomes.The architect acts as a trusted advisor, combining deep technology expertise with strong business acumen to influence strategy, prioritise outcomes, manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce legacy and technical debt.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture Leadership
- Own and define endtoend solution architectures across initiatives, ensuring alignment to target state.
- Establish current and future state architecture positions for the domain.
- Deliver qualityattributebased architecture covering performance, availability, scalability, failure modes, technical debt, and lifecycle management.
- Shape and maintain multiyear architecture roadmaps for the domain.
- Drive simplification and modernization, ensuring controlled reduction of tech debt and decomposition of legacy platforms.
2. Agile Delivery & Technical Direction
- Lead architecture directionsetting for epics, features, and stories in scaled agile environments.
- Orchestrate technical delivery across multiple engineering and product teams.
- Run architectural reviews, modelling, design walkthroughs, and impact assessments.
- Ensure design artifacts are complete, testable, and compliant with standards.
- Provide technical mentorship to Engineering teams and support You build it, you run it principles.
3. Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to business executives, product owners, and technology leadership.
- Influence business strategy with factbased technical insights and commercial acumen.
- Engage closely with release train engineers, solution architects, strategy & advisory teams.
- Ensure architectural decisions address regulatory, risk, and compliance obligations.
- Maintain strong communication, presenting complex topics to senior stakeholders clearly and confidently.
4. Location Head Bangalore
- Act as the Iris Lead for Bangalore location for the client
- Provide onground guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership for Iris team located in Bangalore.
- Support local hiring, onboarding, coaching, and capability building to strengthen the presence in Bangalore.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for team working from Bangalore location
Essential Skills & CapabilitiesCore Capabilities

Technical & Domain Expertise
- 15+ years in technology with substantial handson solution architecture experience.
- Proven ability to lead architecture in scaled agile structures.
- Strong business acumen in:
- Capital markets, trading, settlement
- Banking and financial services
- Experience with:
- Cloud architectures & migrations
- Complex integration patterns
- Modernization and legacy decomposition
- Portfolio and roadmap management
- Ability to assess tradeoffs between technology options, risk, cost, and business benefit.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Architecture or technology certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud certifications) preferred.
- Domain expertise in capital markets and financial services is an advantage.
