Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Base24 Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of critical applications that support electronic payments 24/7.
The ideal candidate will work on a variety of international projects within the payments industry, collaborating closely with team members, testers, and business analysts to deliver innovative technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ATM/POS software for critical applications supporting electronic payments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and implement technical solutions.
- Participate in the SDLC process and ensure the implementation of best practices in software development.
- Coordinate development activities with internal and third-party teams.
- Resolve defects and incidents promptly, working with production support administrators.
- Adhere to release and delivery dates, ensuring timely completion of development tasks.
- Stay updated on technology trends related to ATM/POS devices, tokenization, and cryptography.
- Provide support to team members and assist as needed.
- Maintain DEV environments and simulators.
- Prepare technical documentation for developed solutions.
Requirements:
- At least 8+ years of IT experience in Base24 EPS or Base24 Classic development
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and code versioning tools such as GIT, GitLab, and SVN.
- Knowledge of TAL, COBOL, and S-COBOL programming languages.
- Experience with unit testing and other technologies like cryptography and Unix.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in technical English for documentation and communication purposes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in electronic transactions, payment cards, and cryptography.
- Familiarity with transaction testing tools or simulators.
- Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in project implementation within a bank or processor environment.
- Ability to deploy code into ST, SIT, and UAT environments.
