The Junior Radiographer will assist in performing radiologic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for medical evaluation. The role includes operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining equipment. The Junior Radiographer will work closely with senior radiographers and radiologists to deliver excellent patient care and support the overall functioning of the radiology department. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting radiographic examinations as per departmental protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently to capture high-quality images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of images.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and training to improve skills and knowledge. Skills and Tools Required:
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques and imaging equipment.
- Familiarity with patient care practices in a medical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of image quality.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and image management.
- Understanding of safety protocols in radiology and patient handling. Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Radiography from an accredited institution.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
