Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors.
- Request and compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new ones.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments (stores, production, finance) for procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier details.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
- Handle invoice verification and coordinate with accounts for payments.
Required Skills:
- Basic negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Tally is a plus)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Attributes:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
