Software Tester @ GCO Technology

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Tester (0-1 Year) to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of software testing concepts along with Manual testing certification course, strong analytical skills, and eagerness to learn real-world testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and functional specifications.
• Prepare and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Perform Manual Testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke testing).
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools.
• Re-test resolved defects and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams for clarifications.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and QA meetings. Maintain
• Maintain proper test documentation.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Understanding of SDLC concepts

Knowledge of:

• Test Case writing
• Bug life cycle
• Types of testing (Functional, Regression, UAT)

Basic knowledge of:

• SQL (for simple database validation)
• Web & Mobile application testing

Familiarity with tools like:

• Azure DevOps / Bug tracking tools (basic level)

Preferred Qualities

• Strong analytical and logical thinking.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Team player mindset.
• Candidates living in Mumbai are preferred.
