Role Summary:
- We are seeking a hands-on Electrical & Electronics Engineer to lead the validation, testing, and qualification of magnetic latching relays for smart metering applications.
- This role requires end-to-end ownership of the validation lifecycle, including test planning, execution, analysis, and certification (UC2).
- The candidate will be responsible for developing robust test setups, supporting automation initiatives, and driving failure analysis and reliability improvements.
- The position demands close collaboration with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet performance, regulatory, and reliability requirements from development through production.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of relay design and operating principles, with specific expertise in magnetic latching relays.
- Hands-on experience in high-current testing, high-voltage testing, and thermal performance evaluation of electromechanical components.
- In-depth knowledge of IS 15884 (mandatory) and working familiarity with relevant IEC standards for relays and switching devices.
- Proven experience in test setup design, development, and troubleshooting, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Strong working knowledge of DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report), validation strategies, and comprehensive test documentation practices.
- Expertise in failure analysis methodologies, including root cause identification and corrective action implementation.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relay testing, electrical validation, or smart metering products.
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end validation lifecycle, including:
Validation Planning Test Execution Data Analysis Certification Production Support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Hands-on exposure to validation lab environments, including test setup, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in setting up or managing in-house validation labs will be considered a strong advantage.
