Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer - Google Cloud Platform ( GCP ) to work on high-impact, mission-critical systems for our global enterprise clients. You will be part of a team supporting large-scale platforms, working with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies in a multi-cloud environment (GCP).
This is an excellent opportunity to work on:
- Large-scale cloud infrastructure (GCP)
- High-traffic web and mobile platforms serving millions of users
- Enterprise data engineering platforms with BigQuery and Cloud Composer
- Event-driven microservices architectures
- Modern CI/CD and GitOps implementations
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and optimize performance
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Support BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and GCP Buckets for data pipelines
- Manage multi-cloud architecture (GCP integration)
Kubernetes & Container Orchestration:
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on GKE
- Build and maintain Docker containers following best practices
- Create and manage Helm charts for application deployment
- Implement FluxCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery
- Configure Kubernetes resources, autoscaling, and high availability
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Implement GitOps workflows using FluxCD
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
- Enable multiple daily deployments with zero downtime
- Integrate security scanning into CI/CD workflows
Event-Driven Architecture:
- Deploy and manage Apache Kafka clusters
- Configure Kafka topics, partitions, and replication
- Support event-driven microservices architecture
- Integrate Kafka with GCP services
Monitoring & Reliability:
- Implement monitoring using Dynatrace, New Relic, and GCP Cloud Monitoring
- Configure logging, alerting, and dashboards
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems
- Implement SRE practices and conduct post-incident reviews
Security & Compliance:
- Implement GCP security best practices (IAM, VPC, Secret Manager)
- Manage Kubernetes RBAC and security policies
- Ensure container image security and vulnerability scanning
