- Design, develop, and maintain healthcare integrations using InterSystems HealthConnect / IRIS / Ensemble
- Build and support interfaces between healthcare applications such as EHR, EMR, LIS, RIS, billing, and clinical systems
- Develop message routing, transformation, validation, and orchestration workflows
- Work with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2/v3, FHIR , and other related formats
- Configure inbound and outbound interfaces for real-time and batch data exchange
- Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs for healthcare application integration
- Perform data mapping and transformation between source and target systems
- Troubleshoot interface failures, message errors, and data inconsistencies
- Monitor integration jobs and ensure high availability and reliability of interfaces
- Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
- Collaborate with business, functional, and technical teams to understand interface requirements
- Maintain technical documentation for integration flows, mappings, and support procedures
- Support deployment, enhancement, and maintenance of production integrations
- Ensure adherence to healthcare data security, privacy, and compliance requirements
- 3 8 years of experience in integration development
- Hands-on experience with InterSystems HealthConnect , IRIS , or Ensemble
- Strong knowledge of HL7 messaging standards
- Experience in healthcare system integration and interface development
- Good understanding of FHIR and healthcare interoperability concepts
- Experience with REST APIs and SOAP web services
- Strong skills in message transformation, routing, and error handling
- Working knowledge of SQL and database interaction
- Experience in troubleshooting production support issues in integration environments
- Understanding of end-to-end SDLC, testing, and deployment processes
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and gather technical requirements
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Experience integrating with EHR/EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.
- Exposure to healthcare interface engines and interoperability tools
- Knowledge of X12 , CCD, CDA, or other healthcare data standards
- Familiarity with ObjectScript or scripting/programming languages used in integrations
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy standards such as HIPAA
- Experience with cloud-based integration environments
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum delivery models
- Experience in performance tuning and monitoring of healthcare integrations
- Ability to handle multiple interfaces and support large-scale healthcare environments.
