Job Description

Shall lead and serve as a strategic partner, providing HR expertise and driving HR initiatives that support the hospitals goals. The Unit HR Head will be responsible for aligning HR practices with business objectives, enhancing workforce performance, and fostering a positive work environment.

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with respective department to understand relevant goals and drive plan that support the objectives. Provide guidance on HR policies to Staff.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee complete TA/Recruitment processes to fill required roles (Doctor/Nurses/Paramedical/Support Services) promptly. Monitor and improve retention rates through targeted initiatives.
  • Talent Management: Oversee onboarding processes to attract and retain best talent. Implement talent development programs, including training, mentorship, and career development initiatives. Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee, address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement and recognition programs. Conduct investigations and provide resolution for employee relations issues.
  • Employee Engagement: Keep staff informed about hospital developments, policies, and changes through regular meetings, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Inclusive Work Environment: Foster a culture of inclusivity where all employees feel valued and respected, regardless of their role.
  • Employee Wellness Resource Groups: Support the creation of employee resource groups that focus on various aspects of diversity, including professional interests, employee wellness through initiatives such as fitness programs, mental health support, sports, etc.
  • Open Channels: Encourage open lines of communication where employees can share feedback, ask questions, and express concerns without fear of retribution.
  • Role and Benchmarks: Assist in developing Role clarity, research on competitive benchmarks and benefits programs.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor HR metrics and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for improving HR processes. Prepare regular reports on HR activities, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Implement and monitor policies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a safe work environment.

  • Learning and Development: Regularly assist to assess the skills and competencies of staff to identify areas needing improvement or development.
  • Use performance reviews, employee surveys, and feedback from managers to identify training needs.
  • Focus on upskilling - the latest medical procedures, use of technologies, and best practices to ensure clinical staff are up to date.
  • Focus on training the team in areas such as administration, patient communication, and customer service to support all hospital functions.
  • Pair new employees with experienced staff members to provide guidance and support during the initial stages of their employment.
  • Identify and prepare high-potential employees for future leadership roles within the organization.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary training sessions to improve collaboration and communication among different departments and specialties.

Desired Profile:


  • Looking for candidates who take pride in their daily assignments, are mature and highly responsible for the task assigned and can function effectively as part of a team as well as being able to work independently.
  • Full Time Post-Graduate in Human Resource Management/PM&IR.
  • Relevant experience in HR for a minimum of 8 years and as Unit HR Head leading a team for a minimum of 3+ years.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills: Written [English + Kannada] and Verbal [ Kannada + English + Hindi].
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
