Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Cloud & DevOps Architect who will act as an enterprise level architect, and trusted customer advisor, driving large-scale cloud modernization, platform engineering, and DevOps transformation initiatives.
This role blends technical consulting, customer engagement, and delivery leadership. The architect will shape strategy, influence executive stakeholders, lead complex architecture decisions, and ensure the successful execution of high-impact transformation programs across multi-cloud ecosystems.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud architectural leader who can design, present, and operationalize enterprise-grade cloud platforms while guiding clients through digital transformation journeys.
Core Responsibilities & Technology Leadership
- Collaborate with Cloud & DevOps practice leadership to align architecture strategies, solution patterns, and delivery approaches with practice objectives.
- Establish architectural standards, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks for cloud modernization.
- Drive innovation in:
Cloud-native architectures
Platform engineering
DevSecOps
Infrastructure automation
AI-enabled DevOps and AIOps for intelligent monitoring, automated remediation, and operational insights.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption of relevant solutions within cloud architecture patterns and delivery frameworks.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects to elevate technical maturity.
Enterprise Architecture & Technical Excellence
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure multi-cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Ensure architecture designs align with cloud Well-Architected Framework principles including reliability, security, operational excellence, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Design enterprise cloud landing zones including identity architecture, network segmentation, security guardrails, governance policies, and subscription/account structures.
- Lead architecture decisions for:
Cloud migration & modernization, defining modernization strategies using industry-standard frameworks such as the 7R modeKubernetes/container platforms
CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure-as-Code
API-driven architectures
Observability & reliability engineering
- Architect cloud platforms capable of supporting AI/ML workloads, including scalable compute, data pipelines, and model deployment infrastructure
- Architect platform engineering ecosystems that enable self-service developer productivity.
- Define DevSecOps frameworks including:
Policy-as-code
Supply chain security
Zero trust architecture
- Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO, etc.).
- Lead performance optimization, reliability engineering, and cost governance (FinOps).
Customer Advisory & Executive Engagement
- Serve as a strategic advisor to key senior Customer Engineering stakeholders.
- Conduct discovery workshops and architecture assessments.
- Lead legacy application discovery and portfolio assessment to identify migration and modernization opportunities.
- Perform cloud readiness assessments evaluating technical debt, architecture constraints, and modernization feasibility.
- Analyze application dependencies, integrations, and data flows to support safe migration planning.Translate business goals into cloud transformation roadmaps.
- Guide organizations through cloud adoption using structured frameworks such as AWS and Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) covering governance, migration, operations, and security models.
- Present technical strategy and architecture solutions to executive and engineering audiences.
- Lead customer architecture reviews and transformation planning sessions.
Support RFP/RFI responses with architecture positioning.
- Influence buy-in for modernization initiatives through data-driven proposals.
Delivery Oversight & Transformation Governance
- Provide architectural oversight for large-scale cloud and DevOps delivery programs.
- Establish engineering quality gates and governance frameworks.
- Identify and mitigate risks across architecture, security, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure adoption of agile delivery, DevOps workflows, and SRE practices.
- Guide platform rollout, migration waves, and operational transition strategies, based on application dependencies, business criticality, and risk assessment
- Perform application dependency mapping across services, databases, and integrations.
- Lead incident retrospectives and architecture improvement initiatives.
Platform Engineering & DevOps
- Build enterprise-grade developer platforms enabling:
Automated environments
Golden pipelines
Self-service infrastructure

Reusable infrastructure templates
- Design CI/CD ecosystems integrating:
GitOps
Test automation

- Implement advanced observability strategies using metrics, logs, traces, and AIOps-driven anomaly detection and automated incident resolution..
- Enable continuous reliability and automated remediation.
- Define reliability engineering practices including Service Level Indicators (SLI), Service Level Objectives (SLO), and error budgets.
Compliance & Reliability Architecture
- Embed DevSecOps practices across the SDLC.
Architect identity, secrets management, and network security frameworks.
Define resilience patterns, DR strategies, and high-availability architectures.
- Lead compliance architecture and audit readiness.
Thought Leadership
- Develop reusable accelerators, architecture blueprints, and frameworks.
- Contribute to pre-sales strategy and solution positioning.
- Lead internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Represent cloud architecture capabilities and solution expertise in customer forums and technical events.
