Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Junior Database Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to provide operational and technical support for setting up a patented analytics platform. The role involves deployment assistance and application monitoring across wind, solar, and other enterprise systems.
Roles and Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Support database configuration and data validation activities for multiple applications.
- Assist in deploying and configuring backend services and processing engines.
- Monitor application health, database performance, and system logs.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting for database, service, and environment-related issues.
- Support production releases, upgrades, and environment setup activities.
Job Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow operational and deployment procedures accurately.
- Willingness to learn domain-specific systems and business processes.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in production support and delivery-oriented environments.
- Self-motivated with a proactive learning attitude.
- Good working knowledge of SQL Server.
- Ability to write stored procedures, joins, and complex queries.
- Understanding of database objects, indexing, and performance basics.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows environments.
- Exposure to application/service deployment and configuration.
- Familiarity with environment variables, configuration files, and logs.
- Basic knowledge of Git version control.
- Understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle.
- Exposure to scripting (Python / Bash / PowerShell at a basic level).
- Familiarity with MS Excel.
- Experience working on data-driven or enterprise applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of energy, renewables, or industrial systems is a plus.
- Internship or academic project experience in database or backend systems is beneficial.
- Exposure to monitoring tools and production support environments is advantageous.
