Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a thoughtful, forward-looking Ethical AI Specialist to ensure that our AI systems and data-driven technologies are designed, developed, and deployed in ways that are transparent, fair, and aligned with ethical principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Ethical Governance & Frameworks
- Develop and implement the companys Responsible AI policies, frameworks, and standards.
- Establish ethical review processes for AI products and models before deployment.
- Collaborate with leadership to align AI initiatives with organizational values, compliance requirements, and global AI ethics guidelines (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST, OECD, ISO).
- Build and maintain a Responsible AI governance committee and ensure consistent oversight.
Bias & Fairness Auditing
- Conduct bias detection, fairness, and transparency assessments on datasets and machine learning models.
- Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to design bias mitigation strategies throughout the AI development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, IEEE 7000 Series, EU AI Act readiness).
- Certification in AI ethics, privacy, or responsible innovation (e.g., IAPP, Responsible AI Institute).
- Background in sociotechnical research, human-centered AI design, or trustworthy AI initiatives.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and AI impact assessment methodologies.
- Previous experience engaging with regulators, policymakers, or ethics boards.
