Software testing Engineer @ Qualitest

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.
• Create, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
• Validate desktop-based applications across different environments (Windows/Mac if applicable).
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation.
• Conduct UAT support and ensure readiness for production releases.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in functional/manual testing
• Hands-on experience in testing desktop applications (Windows-based preferred)
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Knowledge of SQL for basic data validation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Must Haves: Functional Testing - 4/5; Communication Skills - 4/5; Agile - 4/5
