Job Description
VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company.VAM Systems is currently looking for Data Scientist for our UAE operations with the following terms and conditions:
Data Scientist to analyse large amounts of raw information to find patterns, build data products to
extract valuable business insights. Highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a
passion for machine-learning and research.
Preferred Qualification
Graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
7 years of experience in applications development in a complex, multi-platform distributed
environment.
Thorough knowledge of RDMS Systems (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle)
Data Modelling Expertise (Conceptual, Logical & Physical in both Relational & Dimensional)
Experience using OLTP / OLAP / Graph / Multi-Model / NoSQL databases
Practical experience using message-oriented middleware (IBM MQ, AWS SNS or similar)
Ability to deploy and manage APIs (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Anypoint
Requirement and Responsibilities:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
Experience in data mining
Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Combine models through ensemble modelling
Present information using data visualization techniques
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g.
Hadoop)
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
Problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)
The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the leading Government organization in UAE.
