Job Description

Assessing a patients condition and planning and implementing patient care plans.
Assisting physicians in performing different diagnostic and treatment procedure.
Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly
Administering intravenous fluids and medications as per doctors order
Collaborating with fellow members of the intensive care team
Responding to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
Providing education and support to patient families
Cardiac care nurses may also care for pre- and post-operative patients.
In addition, some serve as case managers and policy makers, while others perform administrative duties.
Cardiac care nurse should take care of patients with pacemaker.
Identify the ECG variations in the patient and provide care appropriately.
Administer blood / blood products according to doctors order.
Use biomedical equipments appropriately for giving infusions to the patients.
