Big Data/Hadoop Developer @ Cognizant Technology

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Developing Big Data / Hadoop applications.
Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities.
Implementation experience of best practices/standards for Big Data Development.
Ensure all systems and applications in the ecosystem are performing and functioning properly.
Integrating data flow with external systems.
Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.
Testing and validating all changes and upgrade when required.

Requirements:
Mandatory Experience-
3+ years in developing Big Data applications.
At least 1 year of working experience on Hadoop ecosystem.
Expertise in Spark with thorough coding skills in Scala/Java.
Desirable Experience-
Experience in Cloudera/MapR/Horton works.
Experience in any NoSQL databases like HBase/MongoDB/Cassandra.
Experience in various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Others-
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume and Sqoop.
