We're hiring Apigee Developers for our reputed client in chennai
Company: US based IT Company
Position: APIgee developers
Position Type: Permanent (Company Payroll)
Experience: 5+ Years
Relevant Experience in Apigee: 2+ Years
Job Location: Sholinganallur, Chennai
Note: Looking for only immediate joiners
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop REST APIs using Apigee
- Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc. using Apigee
- Create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node js, Python etc in Apigee
- Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios as deemed necessary
- Design and develop API platform to connect to various disparate back end systems for seamless data exchange
- Convert web services from SOAP to REST or vice-versa, using Apigee API management platform
- Integrate security features such as, OAuth, OAuth2, HTTPS (SSL), WS-Security, Signatures and Encryption, SAML, HTTP Basic authentication
- Contribute to the overall API architecture, API implementations, integration and deployment of API management platforms.
- Work with various teams for issue resolution, defect fixes and providing overall support for APIs in Apigee platform
Technical Skills Required:
- Must possess at least two years experience working on API gateway for Apigee Edge Platform
- Must have experience with Apigee on-premise/ private cloud implementation
- Must possess good working knowledge of API platform features including but not limited to security policies, monitoring, metering, monetization and developer portal
- Must have knowledge of Build Tools, Application Server, Unix scripting, Maven, version control systems like GIT
- Must be a passionate coder with 3-5 years of application development experience.
- Must have hands on experience with one of the programming language like Java, .Net, JavaScript., NodeJS
- Must be familiar with Agile development processes
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Flexible to work in shifts and provide on-call support
Nice-to-have:
- Apigee Developer Certification
- Experience with building API Developer portal for service providers to on board app developers, add API documentation and customize
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline for Apigee components
