Job Description
Reporting to the BU Head, you will be responsible for :The apparel production manager is in charge of the quality and volume of the garments before being shipped out. He cooperates with the Product Development Manager/research and development division of the company to make sure apparel products conform to company standards. He also works with manufacturing and production vendors to monitor production and to make sure no under shipment on over shipment of products are made.
Control manufacturing output to avoid a glut of products in the market that would drive the price of the product down. Oversee production and curtail unnecessary wastage
- Working with the vendors on product sampling, with a key focus on Production outsourcing as per design and quality specifications
- Specialist is Women wear knits and weave
- Presentation to the customers and getting the production done as per the specifications
- Maintaining the relationships across existing vendor base and ensuring the smooth flow of operations
- Working closely with different functions to ensure the highest level of efficiency
Candidate Profile :
You will be a professional with more than 10-15 years of experience in Production in a Grament export house or Buying house The client is looking for someone with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to manage and lead a team of professionals
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Knowledge of apparel merchandising, teamwork, communication, interpersonal, creativity, analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills are necessary to be a good apparel production manager. Because of tight deadline schedules, working long hours is required, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications: Fashion Designing specialist from NIFT or similar Design School
