Role & responsibilities

Provide strong technical leadership in Inspection/Corrosion Management for Oil & Gas upstream/downstream assets.

Provide technical solution in the area of upstream/downstream Asset Integrity.
Has ability to create innovative solutions /automations/ methodologies to build a differentiation for Quest Global.
Drive and manage Integrity Engineers to execute the workflows with Quality at scale.
Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for the new projects assigned.
Drive core team members to recruit skilled resources or train internal resources to achieve the targets.
Act as a bridge between customer, sales organization and global technical teams.
Flexible to make short trips as required by the business.
Lead develop, nurture and manage global customer relationships and drive strategic partnering initiatives to address unique business situations and complex technological needs.
Review technical scoping, estimation, fitment and feasibility studies, mapping customer expectations and solution design, prepared by Program Managers and Project Leaders.
Adhere to established procedures, guidelines, and policies.
Maintain customer focus, integrity, and collaboration in the workplace.
Contribute openly and transparently to internal efforts for ensuring a strong workplace culture.

Skills and Qualifications

Mechanical/Materials or Chemical Engineering Degree.
Sound knowledge on Oil & Gas upstream and downstream business in the following areas:
Risk Based Inspection methodologies
Fixed equipment inspection tasks/ procedures
Inspection Optimization
Piping Circutization/TML development
API Damage Mechanisms of Refinery/Chemicals
In-service inspection of all types of fixed equipment
Knowledge of materials and standards
Knowledge of corrosion & welding
Knowledge of NDTs
Knowledge of software (APM Meridium/Pestra/Credo, etc.)
Working knowledge of Oil & Gas plant operations.
Exposure to Operating Condition Safety, SHE risks, spill/safety incidents and equipment failure opportunities.
Knowledge of various roles and responsibilities of engineers working in the oil and gas field/site
Knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance strategies
Knowledge of international standards in design, quality, and procedures for approved equipment.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other teams
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred skills:
API Certification 510/570/571/580/653
Experience with Meridium/Credo/Pestra and SAP
Implementation of Automation, AI, IOT techniques in Oil & Gas Portfolio

Location: In any of the following states: Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Rajasthan, and Assam

Duration of contract: 15 months (to be extended as required)

Role purpose: Lead the state/UT PMU to accelerate rooftop solar deployment by strengthening DISCOM-facing operations, ensuring timely approvals/commissioning, improving beneficiary and vendor experience, and delivering high-quality monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day PMU delivery: workplanning, task allocation, quality assurance, and timely submission of required reports and dashboards.
Coordinate with DISCOM teams (commercial, metering, IT, field) to progress feasibility, inspections, commissioning, and net-metering.
Streamline RTS processes; maintain SOPs, TAT trackers, escalation matrix, and action logs.
Track end-to-end pipeline from application to commissioning; identify bottlenecks and drive resolution.
Own MIS/dashboards; ensure data quality and convert insights into clear actions.
Lead stakeholder coordination (DISCOM, state agencies, vendors, field teams) and support targeted capacity building.
Maintain a risk register and issue log; ensure timely closure and documentation of lessons learned.

Minimum experience: 8 years in power/renewable energy sector; at least 5 years in distributed solar/rooftop solar (RTS) implementation; strong familiarity with DISCOM operational processes.
Education (preferred): Bachelors and Masters in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Energy), Renewable Energy, Management, or related discipline.
Experience:
Hands-on experience managing the full RTS lifecycle: application intake feasibility site survey/inspection technical approval net-metering commissioning documentation closure (as the JD expects pipeline ownership and bottleneck resolution). [JDs_RTS_PMU_WB | Word]
Strong understanding of utility-facing RTS workflows: load sanction, metering process, interconnection approvals, billing implications, and typical DISCOM operational constraints.Ability to design and continuously improve SOPs, TAT trackers, escalation matrices and action logs (JD requires SOP and TAT streamlining).
Advanced reporting capability: Excel (advanced) + Power BI (preferred); ability to convert insights into action plans and follow-through
Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder operating models with DISCOM commercial/metering/IT/field teams, state agencies, vendors, and beneficiaries (explicit stakeholder mandate).
