Job Description

Define and develop a data migration strategy between different products and platforms in a mission critical environment
Define Schema best practices for our various database engines, and work with development teams on schema designs in regards to performance
Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Engage in analysis, tuning, and optimization of various database products
Work with our developers to optimize and tune their SQL queries
Assist in the application development, debugging, and optimization with respect to data concerns.
Provide input in the design and implementation of backup, recovery, and DR strategy
Review application and database design for compliance
Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of database issues
Perform database upgrades and patches
Provide leadership in database monitoring and provide concrete requirements for our 24x7 SRE team to implement
Meet with business owners to analyze and document requirements from a database perspective, design solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness
