Client : Leading Power Company
Contract Duration : 2 years contract (Company contract)
Position: Field Quality Engineer ( Mechanical)
Location: Farakka (West Bengal)
Employment Type: Contractual Role.
Position Purpose
He should be able to handle Field QA QC Parts for EPC Power Project independently. Expertise in Rotating equipments desired
Dimensions
He should be able to work independently and capable of fast decision making / guide team of engineers. Exposure to handling Indian and Overseas Customers. Experience in EPC companies shall be considered as added advantage.
Principal Accountabilities
Field Quality Assurance & Control Activities
He should be able to work with Construction department and could handle team of engineers and handle project management and engineering activities of multiple Power projects simultaneously. Exposure to handling Indian and Overseas Customers. Experience in EPC companies shall be considered as added advantage.
Nature & Scope
He should be able to Coordinate with Customer/ Contractors to maintain FQA requirements from End Customer meeting to specification requirements& deal with agencies.
Person Profile
Educational Qualification
B. E. Mechanical from premiere college: 07 - 10 Years of experience in EPC Power Companies in Field Quality.
Experience
- QA QC experience in Fabrication & testing of equipment for BTG & Balance of Plant which includes Coal handling system, Ash handling system, Compressed air system, fuel handling system, etc. will be added advantage. Candidate must have hands on experience in Inspection and testing related activities at site.
- QA QC Experience in Manufacturing Industry in Power sector is preferable;
- Should have good knowledge in preparing & Reviewing of Work Procedure, Standard Operating procedures, Field ITP/Check sheets/ protocols /, Welding schedule, WPS/PQR.
- Hands on experience in Review, Preparation of WPS & PQR and Welder Qualification.
- Should have knowledge of Painting/Coating of equipment specially Galvanization.
- QA QC experience in mechanical equipment such as Pressure vessels, rotating equipment such as pumps, fans, Static equipment, structure, valves, piping etc. is desired and hand on experience in installation / Alignment of equipment.
- NDE Qualifications in line with ASNT-NC-1 A on RT, UT, PT, VT and MPT is must with valid Level-II Certifications.
- ISO 9001: Series Internal certification with appropriate Auditing skill is a mandatory.
- Knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards like ASME, ASTM, NFPA, ASTN, IS, BS Codes etc.
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- FQA ( Field Quality Assurance) QA, QC Experience in Reputed EPC Companies will be preferred
- Skills on Non conformity Management, Root Cause analysis and 7 Quality tool.
Specific Skills
- Organize and participate in Pre-award, post-award, Kick-off meeting PIM, KOM and QA QC Patrols with Customer & Contractors.
- Experience in dealing / handling Indian and Overseas Customers/Vendors.
- Coordinates and Follow-up with Vendors/manufacturer and Customers for Documents finalization and approval.
- Finalizing the Field Quality Inspection Test Plan and Inspection &Test Procedures etc. for Manufacturers & contractors.
- Preparing and Reviewing of WPS, PQR, and field welding schedule, site specific Procedures, NDT & PWHT procedures and other Inspection and testing related Procedures.
- Organize and Carry out Inspections as per agreed Quality plan/Check list/codes and standards as specified in the Scope of Work in the Purchase order/Contract at various vendor places.
- Resolve of Deviations pertaining to NCR, Corrective action request, Site Deviation request, and field observation reports etc.
- Reporting to HQ
- Support in terms of Maintaining and Continually improving the Quality Management System ( QMS)
- Hand on experience in Erection of Power Plant equipment is added advantage
- Compilation of Field Quality documents and dossier preparation is mandatory.
