Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant Senior Project Manager
In this role you will be responsible to work as Project Manager on a number of business-critical global applications. The various projects within this group are tracked and monitored at the most senior levels in the organization. The incumbent of this role will take ownership of the planning, tracking and reporting of these various projects and will report to the Vertical Delivery Head.
Responsibilities
- To develop metrics, communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, conduct regular status meetings to review project activities, and communicate timely updates to management.
- Responsible for managing scope changes (i.e. Change Management) and project acceptance procedures.
- To work closely with other members of the department and business to understand complex problems, translate into clear and understandable requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- To support the documentation of business requirements and functional specifications are core.
- The cross-functional and cross-product nature of the job requires the incumbent to see across the traditional silos in this business so that benefits can be realized from front to back. The role will also require keeping projects on-track and providing transparency.
- To demonstrate significant experience in project/program management, and be flexible with respect to project management methodologies.
- Negotiating and prioritizing individual development pieces, continuous improvement, ad-hoc analysis work and project management tasks are also required.
- Liaise with traders, product control, risk management, project managers and developers in each location and determine the best possible way to achieve their deliveries.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- University Degree (Any Discipline, preferably Computer Science)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the IT industry & be able to demonstrate significant experience in Business Analysis, and Project Management and be flexible to a number of different methodologies
- Experience in project management, with exposure to large front office systems.
- Hand on experience in managing Agile / SCRUM engagements
- CSM/ CSPO certifications
- PMP or Prince Certification
- Experience in various Project Management Methodologies and Software Development Methodologies
- Change Management Experience
- Microsoft Project and JIRA expertise
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills and Strong analytical skills.
- Methodical, analytical approach to problem solving
- Good communicator with peers, managers and business users
- Ability to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution; delivery-focused
- Ability to work individually, in a team and across teams
- Sensitivity to control, Tolerance for change, Innovative approach
