*SQL DBA with *Migration exp mandatory
SQL DBA on AWS
his role works in close collaboration with all members of the database team and is
fully integrated within the database support process.
Responsibilities:
Planning for Production Storage and Capacity Management.
Create logical models and build physical models.
Installing and Managing SQL Server (all the version).
Configuring and Administering Security/ Policies/ Resource Governing/ MDW.
Migrating SQL Server from On-Premises to AWS Cloud.
Managing Database Performance using MDW.
Implementation and Administration of across the Datacenters.
Planning for Production Storage and Capacity Management.
Hands on experience on Windows issues monitoring and troubleshooting.
Creating databases from the ground up.
Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability.
Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability.
Upgrade SQL Server from Legacy version to latest versions.
Applying Patches to SQL Server. Demonstrable experience of working effectively with Clients, Internal teams to
resolve issues.
Good knowledge in T-SQL scripting.
Able to handle all SQL Database DBA related daily maintenance tasks.
Good exposure in Database and SQL Performance Tuning.
Experience in Database/SQL Performance Tuning.
Trouble shooting and resolving database issues.
Conforming to client compliances and expectations.
This role may entail after-hours support on an on-call basis.
Good working experience all HA and DR solutions.
Good to have experience on cloud technologies like AWS, Google Cloud Platform,
etc
Mandatory Technical skills required
SQL Administration: Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting & High Availability
for SQL Server version 2012 to 2019 on AWS
Performance Optimization: Choosing a Data Compression Format, backup
compression, Memory & IO tuning, database query optimization
Security setup: Enabling & Configuring SSL Certificate Authentication to encrypt
data transfer
HA & DR: High Availability configuration including Always On Availability Groups
Minimum 8+ years data/database administration experience in any databases. Out
of which minimum of three years experience in SQL SERVER DATABASE Admin
Certifications (Good to have)
MCSA: SQL Server
o Microsoft Certified: AWS Solutions Architect Associate
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
Basic Qualifications
7 to 12+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
Minimum three years of work experience in SQL Server Database administration
activities on AWS.
ADDED ADVANTAGES:
Hands on experience with Other Databases like Oracle/ MySQL.
Experience operating and scaling a service in AWS/ AWS/ Open stack i.e. S3, EBS,
EC2, ELB, RDS, EMR.
Programming (perl, power shell).
