Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth functioning of the various Out-Patient Department facilities on a daily basis
- Supervise the functioning of the health check center.
- Coordinate with various specialties in OPD. Also inter departmental coordination amongst OPD consultants, nursing and other paramedical staff.
- Coordination with the consultants on all the administrative issues. To monitor the attendance of the empanelled consultants
- Regulate OPD timings
- Sustain and improve the quality of services by assessing and redesigning the process
- Design, implement and improve the processes of customer / patient handling
- Manage and deliver quality health care through in-house medical health camps
- Ensure the presentation of accurate MIS report of OPD to the management
- Identify the needs of the patients and other customers and resolve queries
- Set guidelines involving customer discounts, refunds
- Shortlist, train, motivate and schedule all OPD staff to get maximum output
- Ensure that the OPD staff has adequate desk resources and technical support
- Conduct regular meetings with the team members and streamline the problem areas.
- Identify and classify the OPD staff based on their performance
- Participate in the orienting, training and counseling of the team for enhancing personal and work efficiencies.
- Organize and deliver training programs for the OPD staff
- Any other task assigned by the HOD and the Management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Essential: The incumbent should be a Post Graduate
Preferable: a post graduate degree/diploma in Hospital administration
At least 8 years of work experience with at least 6 years in a similar capacity in a reputed hospital
