Engineer II , SW - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ HARMAN

Position Summary:

This full-time position is responsible to develop and execute manual and automation test plans in order to identify software problem/s and its root cause/s. Conduct software compatibility tests with programs and hardware, on various operating systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities as such but expect to work and guide team members on technology/tools for which the individual is hired for.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create manual test-cases and automation scripts for products under test

• Thoroughly document all test steps and issues in Test Management system

• Timely automate functional, regression and performance level test cases

• Work closely with product development team during all phases of product testing

• Carry out end-to-end, user focused test scenarios, document in test management system and suggest optimizations

• Work with Globally distributed agile teams to analyze, define and execute testing tasks in single or multi iteration approach

• Work with other available test resources (engineers, interns, customer service personnel, external beta testers etc) to complete specific project assignments

Basic Qualifications:

• B.E. in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of Software Engineering

• 4-5 years of Software Quality Assurance and Engineering experience

• Expertise in Manual testing

• Expertise of Manual & Automation Testing of QT Based Cross-Platform Mobile Applications(Preferably using SQUISH-Python)

• Exposure to Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) Framework

• Exposure to Cypress Framework

• Knowledge of Performance testing, using any tools, preferably in networked products and web based application domain

• Knowledge in Web application Automation testing using any tools, preferably Selenium with python.

Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies :

• Exposure to Behavioral Driven Development framework

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and techniques

• Experience with Agile Project Management Tool JIRA is a plus

• Working with Perforce (or a similar Source- ontrol- anagement-System)

• Adequate networking proficiency

• Testing of hardware and/or embedded devices is a plus

• Display structured working approach and strong analytical skills

• Ability to function in a team environment

• Ability to effectively present information to management and team members

• Knowledge in Continous Integration will be an added andvantake (Jenkins)
