Job Description
- Roles & Responsibilities Collect and integrate spatial and attribute data related to the electrical distribution network. Assist in importing data from various SEC GIS formats to ADMS/DERMS systems. Implementing quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the imported data. Maintaining the imported GIS database, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility for all users. Developing and implementing GIS-based applications and tools to support various departments within the organization. Training and supporting staff on GIS software and tools. Collaborating with other departments to integrate GIS with other systems and processes. Preparing and presenting GIS data and analysis reports to management and stakeholders. Staying updated with the latest GIS technologies and trends to ensure the organization's GIS capabilities remain current and effective. Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Perform data capture and analysis for GIS product. Manage geospatial database and develop maps and aerial photography. Work in compliance with GIS standards and quality policies. Technical skills & Experience Proficiency in computer mapping software (ArcFM) and in the software for data collection.Spatial data acquisition and analysis. Power Systems and utilities, Data Maintenance knowledge. Design and development tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Cloud compare, Geo Database Python and JavaScript scripting languages. Extensive understanding of Python GIS library and its relevant functions for Data analysis and visualization and GIS packages. Also required good understanding on ArchGIS toolbox for python. Good understanding and hands on experience with opensource GIS softwares such as QGIS 3, gVSIG, ILWIS etc. Familiar with different type of GIS data source integrations. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Project management experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education Qualifications & Certifications B.Tech/ BE Computer, Electrical Engineering (Recommended: Master's degree in GIS, Geomatics, or related field) Certification in GIS (e.g., GISP) Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP),
