We're looking for a passionate Android Developer to join our team and help businesses implement our design system effectively. As an Android Developer you will be working on our Jetpack Compose toolkit for our Filament Design System. Your role: We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to maintain and evolve our Filament Design System while supporting businesses in implementing it across their applications. This role combines technical expertise with design sensibility to ensure our design system remains robust, adaptable, and easily implementable. You will work together with our visual designers that propose new changes which you will implement with high precision. Maintain and enhance the Filament design system for Android platforms Develop and optimize reusable components using Jetpack Compose Provide technical guidance and support to business teams implementing the design system Ensure consistent implementation of design patterns across applications Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional code Create detailed documentation and implementation guidelines Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues faced by business teams Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency Stay current with Android platform updates and best practices You're the right fit if you have: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Advanced degree highly preferred. Proven experience with Design Systems or Component Libraries Minimum 8 years of professional Android Development experience Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose Strong knowledge of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) Strong knowledge about accessibility, animation and customization in Jetpack Compose Experience with Kotlin and modern Android development tools Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Key Skills & Attributes Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and resolve subtle UI inconsistencies and technical issues Clean Code Practices: Commitment to writing maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code Design Sensibility: Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to translate design requirements into functional code Service-Oriented Mentality: Enthusiasm for supporting and empowering other teams Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex implementation challenges Communication: Excellent skills in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders How We Work Together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities, generally at the customers or suppliers locations. This job will be at the Phillips Innovation Campus in Bangalore.
