- SOMASA - Navi Mumbai Campus - Statistics FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR Essential: A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science and experience of ten years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession at the level of Professor/Associate Professor/Reader or equivalent grade; OR In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: First Class Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science and significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch and industrial / professional experience of ten years at a senior level comparable to Associate Professor / Reader. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports; Experience of guiding the project work, dissertation of post graduate or research students or supervising R & D projects in industry; Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R & D, consultancy and related activities. Desirable: Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and / or professional activities; Evidence of service to University, the Profession and the Community; Evidence of Curriculum Development. FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Essential: A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science and experience of five years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade; excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree. OR In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: First Class Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science and significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. degree in appropriate branch and industrial/professional experience of five years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer/Assistant Professor. Desirable: 1.Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books and / or technical reports; 3. Experience of guiding the projects work, dissertation of post graduate or research students or supervising R & D projects in industry; 4. Evidence of Curriculum Development. FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Essential: A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science and desirable experience of 3 years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade. Desirable: 1.Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization and 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in referred journals.,
