Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer with expertise in GCP BigQuery, PySpark, Scala, Oracle RDBMS, and Big Data technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines while ensuring seamless data integration, transformation, and processing. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain big data solutions using GCP BigQuery, PySpark, Scala, and Oracle RDBMS. Handle batch and real-time data processing to support business intelligence and analytics. Collaborate with data architects and data scientists to define data requirements and optimize data pipelines. Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance while dealing with structured and unstructured datasets. Work on Document Conversion and Norkom Detica Product Suite (if applicable). Solve complex challenges related to database integration, performance tuning, and scalability. Develop and expose data APIs for easy accessibility and analysis by data scientists. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in Big Data technologies, including GCP BigQuery, PySpark, and Scala. Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS and SQL-based querying. Experience with data ingestion, ETL pipelines, and real-time streaming. Expertise in handling large-scale, unstructured data and optimizing storage solutions. Familiarity with Document Conversion and Norkom Detica Product Suite is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and governance best practices. Exposure to machine learning pipelines and advanced analytics is a plus (ref:hirist.tech),
