Job Description
- Department - Information Technology Position Title - Section Head - IT Designation - Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Qualification Required - B.E / B.Tech Computer Science , Msc IT / CS , MCA Experience Required - 8 to 12 Years Planning & deployment of IT Resources: Plan the requirement of and deploy the IT resources including manpower, hardware, software and bandwidth to meet the Business requirements Review utilization of existing resources Assess additional requirements based on previous year and current needs Formulate, implement and review IT plan for the Project Operations : Ensure uninterrupted operations of the IT systems to support the Business requirement Put in place necessary basic infrastructure like power, air conditioning, dust-proofing, etc for the critical equipment like Servers, WAN equipment, etc Put in place a reliable security and authorization system to eliminate damage or loss to data Ensure regular back up of data Keep ready a disaster recovery plan. AspenTech implementation. IP Telephony Continuous Improvement : Identify, evaluate develop & implement new technologies (Hardware & software) and continuously improve system performance and solutions deployed to enable the Business to gain benchmark position Assess the current system and network uptime and response times Plan action for improvements in uptime and response times Regularly collect information on new technologies Evaluate the new technologies Interact with vendors & consultants Visit Web sites for assessment Prepare and submit proposal for implementation Budget Control : Monitor and control the Dept budget to optimise operating cost Prepare annual budgets for Hardware, software, consumables etc. Monitor purchases against budget. Take corrective action. Internal customer satisfaction: Ensure timely redressal of internal customer complaints to improve customer satisfaction Modify system to incorporate user requirement. Monitor system regularly. Plan periodical user satisfaction survey. Make complaint handling system. Monitor complaint redressal time. Analyze & implement solutions System implementation : Ensure implementation of systems like ISO/TPM/EMS, etc in IT Dept. through employees involvement for continuous improvement in various activities Coordinate with other departments for various activities. Develop plans in various areas. Allocate responsibilities to various persons & periodical review of progress. Coordinate with internal auditors. Taking actions for clearing NCRs intime. Attainment of criteria score/targets. Improvement of internal customer rating. Taking actions for statutory compliances. Encourage participation in rewards, competitions. Participate in subcommittee activities Implement Corp. IT policies with respect to Information Security & other issues Strictly implement Corp. IT policies with regular updation. Ensuring of ISS KPIs. Participate in Corp. IT initiatives Experience of manufacturing industries will be added advantage,
