Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): Off-wing / Shop Technical Support: Assists the shop support engineering teams with configuration specification and workscope planning guide updates and module soft time analysis Develops initial Delta TechOps workscope from OEM maintenance instructions for OEM integrated MRO shops (i.e. Rolls-Royce Trent, Pratt & Whitney GTF) Collects key data for out of limits damage conditions and assists in the development of OEM case requests or Delta developed repair solutions Participates in workscope escalation and scrap disposition reviews to support workscope optimization Integrates typical repairs into Delta manuals to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce job stops Reviews post-shop visit engine test rejections and collaborates with Shop Support Engineering to reduce return to shop events Supports development of Shop Visit Reports and Failure Investigation Reports for Delta and MRO customer engine shop visits at Delta TechOps What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications): Bachelor of Engineering Degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience in an engineering related discipline. Should have a technical knowledge of aircraft engines, engine shop processes, engine manuals and standards, and regulatory requirements. Experience with the repair or design of gas turbine or turbofan engines. Previous Airline, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft engines. Familiarity with airline flight operations and support system. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
