Job Description
- Job Summary: The QA/QC Executive will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of cosmetic and depilatory products at all stages of production, from raw materials to finished goods. The role includes implementing quality control procedures, conducting product testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining quality standards in line with industry regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance (QA): Develop, implement, and monitor QA processes and SOPs to ensure product safety and efficacy. Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory standards applicable to the cosmetic industry. Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits by regulatory authorities. Monitor and evaluate the supplier quality of raw materials and packaging components. Investigate and document customer complaints and non-conformance issues, recommending corrective actions. Provide training to production and packaging teams on good manufacturing practices (GMP) and hygiene protocols. Quality Control (QC): Perform in-process quality checks during manufacturing, filling, and packaging. Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk formulations, and finished products. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of QC laboratory equipment. Maintain batch records, COAs, and stability testing reports. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process improvements. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation as per regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in QA/QC roles in the cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical industry. Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716, FDA regulations, BIS standards (for India), and global cosmetic compliance. Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, pH meters, viscometers, and other QC testing instruments. Ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation. Strong documentation and report-writing skills. Good analytical skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with stability testing and preservative efficacy testing (PET). Knowledge of cosmetic formulations and ingredient safety assessments. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC 1223/2009), US FDA, and ASEAN Cosmetic Directive.
