- Role Description Position Title: SAutomation Tester Hiring Location: Pune Experience Range: 3 to 5 years We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for various testing phases (unit, integration, functional, performance). This role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure robust and efficient automated testing practices and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities Automation Test Framework Development: Design, develop, and implement reusable test automation frameworks across various testing phases (unit, integration, functional, performance). Maintain and optimize test scripts and frameworks for continuous improvement. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work with development, QA, and operations teams to implement automated testing practices. Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and project managers to convert business requirements into automated test cases. Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD): Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Identify and resolve issues related to automation within the CI/CD pipeline. Test Planning and Estimation: Contribute to test planning by identifying automation opportunities. Estimate effort and time required for automation tasks. Test Reporting and Metrics: Monitor test results and generate detailed reports on test coverage, defects, and progress. Analyze trends and make improvements in the automation process. Automation Tools Management: Evaluate and manage automation tools that align with project needs. Ensure optimal use of tools and technologies. Test Environment and Data Management: Set up and maintain test environments for automation, ensuring scripts work across multiple environments (staging, testing, production). Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Identify risks associated with automation and propose mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot automation issues to ensure minimal downtime and fast issue resolution. Develop and Maintain Automated Tests: Write and maintain scripts for different testing levels, including regression, functional, and integration tests. Bug Identification and Tracking: Report, track, and manage defects discovered through automation testing, ensuring prompt resolution. Improve Test Coverage: Identify gaps in test coverage and develop additional scripts to enhance comprehensiveness. Automation Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for test automation processes, scripts, and frameworks. Quality Assurance: Ensure all automated testing activities meet high-quality standards and contribute to delivering a reliable product. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on automation progress, risks, and improvements. Must-Have Skills Automation Tools Expertise: Proficiency in Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, and CI/CD pipeline integration. Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of Java, Python, JavaScript, and test frameworks like JUnit or TestNG. Version Control: Experience using Git or SVN for script management. Automation Test Frameworks: Ability to design scalable, reusable frameworks for different test types (functional, integration, etc.). Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and presenting results. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills for quickly identifying and resolving automation issues. Test Planning & Estimation: Ability to estimate, prioritize, and manage automation tasks effectively. Quality Focus: Commitment to improving software quality and increasing test coverage.
