Job Description
- What Youll Do Engineering manager will be responsible for leading product development team for Residential Circuit Protection Solutions, including MCBs, Residential Panel Boards & Accessories for north American market. This includes leading a multidomain Team of talented engineers including Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Firmware. Leader is responsible to provide strategic leadership on Innovation (NTI), New Product Development, Cost out and Product Line maintenance. Leader should enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth, accelerate capability development and focus on Building high performing team. He/She should collaborate with global product engineering team to perform technical reviews, budget planning, Capital allocation etc, He/She should drive the long term technology/product roadmap and gain leadership position in circuit protection portfolio with focus on Next Generation Circuit Protection Systems (Smart, Hybrid and Solid state breakers) Lead circuit protection team by understanding the product strategies and identifies the priorities for product development. Builds a solid rapport with global stakeholders and seeks increased responsibilities & ownership on CPS portfolio. Partners with multiple teams like Test labs, Simulation, Advanced Research, Sustainability etc. and ensures the rapid adoption, contributing to process improvements and aligning the schedules. Improve productivity and seeks quicker turnaround for the prioritized issues with utmost quality. Develops the capabilities by reskilling team members, hiring talent and creating standard operating procedures. Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices. Required 13+ years of overall experience including minimum 3 years of experience as People Manager and 6+ years of hands-on expertise in one of the technologies like electromechanical, circuit protection, Ground Fault breakers. Strong expertise in MCB and Lov Voltage Panels, with deep knowledge on UL/IEC standards relevant to Residential Circuit Protection Systems. Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune Drives and promotes innovation rigor in the team in order to create technical differentiators and new value propositions. Identify growth opportunities and protect IP through patents and trade secrets Ensure Eaton stays abreast of new and emerging technologies to design and evaluate product integrity in order to facilitate rapid deployment. Develop long term roadmap for team in line with market trends and invest in people, products and infrastructure to enable roadmap execution. Leads and enables design reviews and engineering work packages. Understand customer requirements and communicate them to teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate. Train, develop and motivate Team/subordinates to achieve team & individual goals, review their accomplishments and conducts performance reviews. Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities. Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work. Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design Qualifications Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering 15+ yrs of experience Skills Circuit Protection, DFSS, UL/IEC Compliance Leading team of engineers from various domains including Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics, responsible for development of circuit protection solutions. He will also be responsible for creating technical proposals, stakeholder communication, process implementation etc. ]]>,
