Job Description
1. With direction from the Sourcing head, plans and coordinates the sourcing activities.
2. Be responsible to source and deliver the best products in terms of designs or unique products on time and implement stringent quality standards to ensure the quality products.
3. Analyze industry trends and evolving fashion trends and submit a report to sourcing head to identify potential vendors to ensure continuity of supply, minimize risk of product not available and exploit emerging opportunities that are beneficial to the company
4. Work closely with suppliers / vendors to ensure timely delivery of products, replenishment of stock, re-orders and ensure the products promoted are available with vendors.
5. Follow up with suppliers / vendors to ensure timely delivery of products to fulfill customer orders
6. Evaluation of Fabrics, Designs, Trims, etc. while sourcing of products and co-ordinate with creative team to get the products photographed and arrange for upload.
7. Develop sourcing plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/threats and develop contingency plans.
8. Sourcing and development of new vendors and retain existing vendors.
9. Manage the sampling and product approval process.
10. Provide market information to Marketing and Merchandizing teams in identifying right products, new product line and categories.
11. Work with Merchandizing & Marketing team to discuss and finalize on seasonal product line / categories.
12. Pro-actively manage the re-ordering of products on time and ensure the products promoted are available with vendors.
13. Work closely with inventory management and merchandising team on reordering of fast moving products, returning non-moving products, etc.
14. Ensuring the product line purchased are in line with fashion and requirement
Identify potential vendors to ensure continuity of supply, minimize risk of product not available and exploit emerging opportunities that are beneficial to the company.
15. Conduct supplier analysis and evaluate potential vendors based on quality of products, best possible price, volume of discounts and delivery standards.
16. Evaluate supplier core competencies.
17. Identify ways to reduce costs and devise plan of action that are focused on creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale and better quality products.
18. Develop a negotiation strategy that shall impact the pricing, and delivery timeline.
19. Establish relationships with suppliers to achieve sustainable business advantage.
20. Implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
21. Renegotiate, renew and discontinue supplier contracts.
Required Candidate profile
Experience in sourcing branded Women's ethnic wear.
Willingness to travel.
Good communication, negotiation skills.
