Data Analyst
Job Location: Remote
Department: FP&A
Reports To: VP of Product and Revenue/ Head of FP&A
Shift: 6:30AM - 3PM ET (4 PM-12.30 AM IST)
OVERVIEW: The Data Analyst role involves managing and analyzing large datasets using SQL, Excel, and Zoho Analytics to create insightful reports and dashboards for various stakeholders. The position requires developing predictive models and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve organizational performance. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Preference is given to candidates with experience in Python and AI tools, and familiarity with the medical distribution industry is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Management & Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Excel, and Zoho Analytics. Utilize a variety of SQL dialects to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
Reporting & Visualization: Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Zoho Analytics. Present findings in clear, concise formats for non-technical audiences, ensuring data-driven insights are easily understood and actionable.
Predictive Modeling & Forecasting: Develop predictive models to forecast trends, identify potential risks, and uncover new opportunities. Use statistical methods and data mining techniques to derive meaningful insights.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational inefficiencies and develop strategies for process improvements. Deploy analytics to streamline workflows and enhance overall departmental and organizational performance.
Communication & Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts. Work with multiple departments, manage competing data requests, and deliver analytics solutions in a timely manner.
Emerging Technologies & Tools (Preferred): Leverage Python and AI tools (e.g., machine learning libraries) to automate and optimize data analysis tasks. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continually improve analytics processes.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the medical distribution industry or willingness and ability to learn quickly. Adapt analysis and recommendations to fit industry-specific challenges and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience (2+ years) in a data analysis or related role, with demonstrated success in managing and interpreting complex datasets.
Strong proficiency in SQL (various dialects), Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), and BI tools such as Zoho Analytics.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to learn new technologies and complex data in a unique industry.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis, trend analysis, and data modeling techniques.
