Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Key SPOC:
- Manage Critical and Major Incidents: Oversee and coordinate the resolution of high-impact incidents to minimize disruption and ensure rapid recovery.
- Support Problem Management: Assist in identifying and addressing the root causes of recurring issues, working towards long-term solutions.
- Lead Change and Operational Project Management: Manage and execute changes and projects related to SD-WAN operations to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Patch and Release Management: Coordinate the deployment of patches and updates to ensure the SD-WAN infrastructure remains secure and up to date.
- Handle Capacity Management: Monitor and manage network capacity to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Manage Knowledge Base (KEDB): Maintain and update the Known Error Database (KEDB) to facilitate efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure Comprehensive Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to SD-WAN operations and performance.
- Coordinate with Third Parties: Work with vendors, OEMs, and suppliers to resolve faults and ensure the smooth operation of SD-WAN solutions.
- Handle Technical Escalations Effectively: Manage and resolve complex technical escalations to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure Adherence to Service Delivery Standards: Monitor and ensure that service delivery aligns with the agreed Statement of Work (SOW) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Support Root Cause Analysis and Preventive measures : Provide expertise in root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to preventive measures to reduce future incidents.
- Participate in Risk and Impact Assessment: Engage in assessing risks and impacts associated with SD-WAN changes and initiatives.
- Pursue Continuous Learning and Certification: Take the initiative in acquiring new skills, certifications, and evaluating emerging networking technologies and tools.
- Contribute to Knowledge Base and Customer Reporting: Contribute to the KEDB and prepare technology-related sections of Management Information System (MIS) reports for customers.
- Apply Design-Level Skills: Utilize advanced design skills to optimize and implement SD-WAN technology solutions.
- Rich Hands-on experience of implementing of respective SDWAN, Routing, Switching & Wireless solutions, OEM such as CISCO, AVAYA, ALu, JUNIPER, ARUBA.
- In-depth knowledge of SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Versa, Riverbed , VeloCloud, , Cisco, Fortinet) and related networking technologies (e.g., MPLS, BGP, VPN).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Good understanding and Hands on Routing technologies like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP etc.
- Good Understanding and Hands on Switching technologies like STP, RSTP, VLAN's, VPC, link-aggregation etc.
- Good understanding about IPSEC, Firewall - Netscreen, SSG, SRX
- Excellent Troubleshooting, analyzing & managing the critical Incidents, Problem tickets
- Auditing Network
- Experience in designing POA for complex Change/Project.
- Experience in Transition & Transformation Projects (Tasks to be performed ).
- Good knowledge in preparing RFO, RCAs, documentation, Knowledge Bank.
- Rich experience in handling of Project Implementation
- Good understanding on NMS & troubleshooting tools (PRIME/SOLARWINDS/DNAC etc.)
Good understanding of ITIL & best practices.
Preferred candidate profile
Maintain equipment based on SOPs and ensure immediate escalation to competent authority in order to ensure uptimes.
- Technical Operational Role: Maintain Standard OEMs SDWAN, Switching Routing & wireless equipments ( OEM like Versa, Riverbed , Cisco, Cisco Meraki , Huawei Enterprise LAN solutions , AVAYA, Cisco DNA, Viptela etc. ) based on SOPs and ensure immediate escalation to competent authority in order to ensure uptimes.
Technical Consultancy Role: Ability to handle Technical Architect / Solution Consultant role for Global large-scale projects on the above said OEM Network & Security products and technology
