Backend Developer @ Ksolves India

Job Description

1. 3+ years of backend development experience in Scala & Play Framework (or a functional JVM

language).

2. Solid understanding of OpenSearch or Elasticsearch: mappings, analyzers, aggregations, etc.

3. Strong knowledge of concurrency, asynchronous programming, and immutability.

4. Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

5 Experience with NoSQL databases - DynamoDB

6. Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

7. Familiarity with distributed systems and caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)

8. Some Exposure to observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)

9 Strong proficiency with Git and modern version control practices (branching strategies, rebasing,

resolving conflicts)

10 Strong communication skillsRole & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Scala (Play / Akka).
• Integrate and maintain OpenSearch for full-text search, analytics, and indexing use cases.
• Design efficient search schemas, analyzers, and ingestion pipelines.
• Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and search performance for large datasets.
• Work closely with data engineers and product teams to model and expose domain data.
• Build backend components that ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues; contribute to observability and logging.
