Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Tidal Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Tidal Master, Client Manager, and Agents on Unix and Windows platforms.
- Perform regular upgrades, migrations, and patching of Tidal components.
- Manage and troubleshoot Tidal agents and client connections.
- Implement and maintain SSL configurations for secure communications.
- Oversee job and container management, including creation, modification, and migration across instances.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to job failures, dependencies, and scheduling conflicts.
Scheduling & Automation:
- Design, implement, and maintain batch processing workflows using Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.
- Develop and manage complex job streams with interdependencies and calendar-based scheduling.
- Ensure timely execution of jobs, monitor performance, and optimize schedules for efficiency.
- Coordinate with development and operations teams to align scheduling with application deployments and maintenance windows.
Database & Integration:
- Utilize MSSQL for managing Tidal databases, including backups, restores, and schema modifications.
- Integrate Tidal with other enterprise systems and tools via REST APIs and custom scripts.
- Collaborate with database administrators to ensure data integrity and performance.
Cloud & Infrastructure Support:
- Deploy and manage Tidal components on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EC2, RDS).
- Work with network and security teams to resolve connectivity and access issues.
- Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
Incident & Change Management:
- Respond to and resolve P1/P2 incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.
- Document and manage changes through ITIL-aligned change control processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of job configurations, dependencies, and operational procedures.
