Job Description

Department: Procurement
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor negotiations, gathering requirements, and closing contracts in collaboration with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization secures the best possible terms and maintains strong relationships with our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Negotiations: Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with internal departments to understand and document procurement needs and specifications.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for procurement activities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and cost savings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certification in procurement or Post Graduate degree ( eg MBA )
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
