Job Description
Roles and ResponsibilityPosition TitleDesign Engineer (Structural)--India Position SummaryThis position determines appropriate design parameters and performs the structural design of new towers for proposals. Creates documents necessary for proposal presentation and internal records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities o Determines wind, ice and seismic parameters for each tower site in accordance with TIA-222 standards and state/local building code requirements. o Designs new monopole, self-supporting and guyed towers for proposals. o Creates tower profile drawings for proposal presentation, and engineering output documents for internal records. o Applies structural engineering principles to the design of steel structures, in accordance with TIA-222 standards and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). o Consults with Professional Engineers in the US when questions arise. o Performs other duties as needed or assigned Position Requirements Education Bachelor s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred Experience0-3 years of Structural Engineering Skills & Abilities o Candidate must have the ability and desire to learn all of the technical details of industry standards, and apply them to engineering procedures in order to design safe and efficient structures. o Must have professional and effective English communication skills for verbal and written correspondence. o Team player, self-starter, results-oriented and organized with a strong attention to detail; able to multi-task and complete tasks within a timely manner o Must have proficient working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. o Regular and timely attendance is required Physical Requirements o This is an office position requiring the use of office equipment such as a computer, copier, phone, etc. most of the day.
