Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test data based on requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Perform database validations using complex SQL queries.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of QA automation frameworks.
- Ensure regression coverage and continuous integration of automated tests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in QA Automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on experience in RESTful API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI).
- Strong knowledge of SQL for backend validation and data integrity checks.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile testing methodologies.
- Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
- Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber/Gherkin).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments or containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred candidate profile
8+ yrs experience candidates who have both manual and automation testing experience.
